Welcome to my new year. Lots planned on the social scene, so please look out for notices. Probably kick off with a quiz night.

Drive In went very well all except the Captain’s drive. Hope you enjoyed the day. There were a few ‘no shows’ which we will be treating very seriously. I will be adopting a yellow/red card approach for competition entries. Just a phone call please the day before is all that is needed.

Highlights for your diary this month. Get your names down for Audi Stableford (Colonial 1)/Ladies Pullan Plate 1 on 4th April. Shotton Trophy is a team event shotgun start on 12th April. A medal comp on 18th April which is Lombard Trophy qualifier (OOM1).

The NGU Handicap League and Hollingsworth kick off this month. If you think you are up to the challenge then put your name forward to Sam Patel and Trevor Twelvetrees respectively.

The NGU Higgs Bowl is a home fixture this year on 2nd May. Let’s make it a home win. Enter on the NGU website before entries close at noon on 24th April.

The Seniors Open at Collingtree Park has already received a huge entry. It is a great day for our charity fund raising. You are welcome to come down for the presentation 14th April at around 6.30.

The course is in great shape. This augurs well for a good summer. Colin and his team are continuing to improve the greens and presentation of the course.
